Polls are here

You can now post a poll. Pick the poll type in the submit form, add your options, and optionally set a closing time. One vote each, and you can change your vote. Results show once you vote, or when the poll closes.

You can now add images to replies.

Click the image button in the reply toolbar, or paste an image straight from your clipboard. Up to 4 per reply. They appear under your text, and you can click one to expand it. JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP work. Images are checked before they post, so there is a short wait after you hit Post reply. There is a daily limit on how many images you can add. If you hit it, you will see a message and can carry on the next day.

You can now vote on threads directly from the feed.

Mods can now pin a thread to the top of a community. Pinned threads stay at the top whatever sort you use, and show a pin icon next to the author and timestamp.

X and Bluesky embeds now work. Drop an X or Bluesky link on its own line and you get the actual post instead of a bare URL.

Lots of new features landed today. Here's what you can do now:

• Direct messages: message people privately. First messages from strangers arrive as requests, and you can block and report.
• Create your own community: from Explore or the menu. You become its top mod.
• Home and All: Home shows the communities you've joined. All shows everything on Thredo.
• One place for messages: your conversations and support requests share one list. On desktop, notifications and messages now have their own icons in the header.
• Reach a community's mods: type s/name in New message.
